Why can't I open my EFO files in EASE Focus 2 or 3?
In EASE Focus 1, line array data are defined by EFO files. The EFO file contains acoustic and mechanical information about the line array, but only in 2D.
In EASE Focus 2 and higher versions, line array data are defined by GLL files. The GLL file contains acoustic, electronic and mechanical information about the line array in 3D.
The GLL file format is also supported by EASE 4.2 upwards, by EASE Address, by EASE Evac and by the free GLL Viewer. Further details about the GLL format, data requirements and accuracy can be found in various AES articles and White Papers by AFMG.
If you only have an EFO file, please contact the respective loudspeaker company about the corresponding GLL file.
